Budget Living: Back To School Locker Organization
Great ideas here for those who are going back to school…or for those with kids heading back to school. My kids are too young to have lockers, but I might save some of these ideas for when they are older. What do you think?
WHENEVER YOU SEE THIS POST ON YOUR DASH, STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING AND WRITE ONE SENTENCE FOR YOUR CURRENT PROJECT.
Just one sentence. Stop blogging for one minute and write a single sentence. It could be dialogue, it could be a nice description of scenery, it could be a metaphor, I don’t care. The point is, do it. Then, when you finish, you can get back to blogging.
If this gets viral, you might just have your novel finished by next Tuesday.
Budget Writing: Good Advice
Budget Living: When Life Hands you Lemons…
Lemons aren’t just for cooking. Here are some great and unusual uses for that sour citrus fruit. My favorite? It can be used as bug repellant. Who knew?
Budget Living: Save at the Park
The end of summer means that most of us will end up at the Amusement Park to hang on to that last bit of fun before the school year starts. Here’s a great article that gives you ten great ways to save money when you head off to ride the rollercoasters. My favortie tip? Start early. Get there when the park opens and you not only avoid lines, but you finish early and will most likely end up saving money by having dinner at home.
Budget Romance: The Taste Test
Now this is a cute and creative idea. Have you ever watched America’s Test Kitchen where they have a bunch of different brands of food and the audience gets to taste them to see which they prefer? That’s the whole idea of this date night. Buy different types of salsa, brownie mix, or ice cream and see if both you and your partner pick the same favorite brands. You might be surprised at the results!

My DH and I have done this before. We’re huge fans of the board games Agricola and Settlers of Cattan. You don’t have to purchase those expensive games to have fun, though. Just a simple deck of cards can provide hours of entertainment. Check out this list for some...
Budget Living: Making Smores the right way
I was looking at this picture and trying to come up with something witty and informative about the importance of recycling and how it can help your budget… but all I could think of was - I want this. :) I’m a huge smore lover, and why make one smore, when you can make ten…or twenty? Love this idea. Genious!
I want to be so much more.
Today, we are sharing an awesome DATE NIGHT idea sent in by one of our amazing readers, Dani. This space themed date is perfect for those warm summer evenings! It also scores big time in the inexpensive date ideas category!
Budget Romance: Dating In Space…
Love this idea, but I’d like to take it one step further for the tardis fans out there. How about a Dr. who marathon? You can’t go wrong with the doctor, IMHO.
I am super excited to try this recipe! Ice coffee is one of my favorite summer drinks!
Budget Living: DIY coffee treat
You all know how much I love my coffee. It’s an obsession, LOL. This sounds like the perfect Sumner treat. Enjoy!
