Candace Camp is a New York Times bestselling author of over sixty novels of contemporary and historical romance, including the bestselling Regency romances Treasured, The Marrying Season, and A Summer Seduction. She grew up in Texas in a newspaper family, which explains her love of writing, but she earned a law degree and practiced law before making the decision to write full time. A. Do your best.

A. I hate to say them; I'm afraid everyone will notice them now---but I check and recheck to try to get rid of all the "well"s, "just"s, "only"s and "merely"s.

Q. If you could be any person or thing, who or what would it be?

A. I think maybe one of the dogs I've had because they're very pampered and are also the happiest and most loving creatures I've ever been around.

A. reading, watching DVD's or watching football

A. (not in order--I have no order and there could easily be five or ten more)" Imagine" by John Lennon, Thunder Road by Bruce Springsteen, "Up Where We Belong" (that love song from An Officer and a Gentleman), "Sometimes When We Touch" by Dan Hill ('our song' for my husband and me), Creedence Clearwater Revival's version of "Heard it Through the Grapevine"
