My Life in 8 Words

Author Revealed

Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. There's no great big scoreboard in the sky.

Q. What’s your greatest flaw?

A. gratuitous worry

Q. How would you describe perfect happiness?

A. A little personal dream--An empty To-Do list, a beautiful expanse of time for reading, lying in bed reading, my dog and cat snuggled beside me, potato chips within reach

A huge dream (among many)--To end animal abuse: on factory farms, in labs, in puppy mills, in vicious sports, wherever it exists!

Q. With whom in history do you most identify?

A. Alexander Fleming because he was not a genius, but was a patient observer who didn't discard a contaminated Petri dish; Albert Einstein because of his slow early development and school problems, and because of his passionate pursuit of knowledge, and his humility and awe regarding the secrets of the cosmos

Q. If you could meet any historical character, who would it be and what would you say to him or her?

A. I'd like to meet Joan of Arc.  I wouldn't speak.  I'd lock my eyes on hers, and peer deeply.
