A new book to write. Time After Time. A book I have wanted to write for a long time. Just spoke to my dad who is also a writer. He always gives good advice when faced with the daunting page that is blank apart from the two words: chapter one. He said, 'imagine someone you are talking to and then start to tell them the story as if you are really speaking to them.' His other advice is, for the first draft, put your critical voice aside and just get it writ. There's time later for editing, revising and rewriting. It still feels like being about to jump in at the deep end though!
