Dana Adam Shapiro was nominated for the 2006 Academy Award for his first film, MURDERBALL, a documentary about the United States Paralympic Quad Rugby Team. His latest film, MONOGAMY, starring Chris Messina and Rashida Jones, is nominated for a 2011 Independent Spirit Award and will be released theatrically by Oscilloscope Laboratories. His 2007 animated short about unrequited love and recycling, MY BIODEGRADABLE HEART, was an official selection at Sundance and many other fests around the world.
