Q. How did you come to write My Mom Is Trying to Ruin My Life?
A. Actually, this book was fun for me because I loved everything about my mother! She was funny, kind and generous, people swarmed to her like bees to honey. I was lucky enough to appreciate her when I was a kid, it was a kick to imagine a little girl who was embarrassed by her mother. Kate Feiffer's writing is so perceptive, so funny and so smart... just like Kate.
