The elections are over and we all feel a release, even in the US territory of the Virgin Islands.  The tension was almost unbearable, especially at the end, and everyone's prayer was that it would be over quickly.  Not another 2000, Bush-Gore, hanging-chad debacle. 

Let's hope that the animosity that had started to crawl like scum over everything political will go away for a while.  At bottom, I believe, is the resentment that someone 'different' sits in the White House.  You can package it any way you like, from tea party rage to birth certificate questions, the indignation is still there, like scum.
