Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. Chase joy.

Q. What is your favorite occupation, when you’re not writing?

A. There's an occupation beyond writing?

Q. What is your biggest pet peeve?

A. Writers who abandon their duty (David Chase, writer of The Sopranos last episode, I'm talking to you) or, worse, writers who shoot to fame via a particular series then hit the big time and don't want to accomodate the fans anymore. Annie Wilkes, I think you may have been on to something.

Q. What trait is most noticeable about you?

A. Green eyes and a mouth shaped like Pat Benatar's.

Q. If you could acquire any talent, what would it be?

A. I miss I could play the piano. Just Happy Birthday, For He's a Jolly Good Fellow and one Christmas Carol. At forty, I took lessons for two years. No luck. Even the second-graders blew me away at the recital.
