My Life in 8 Words

Author Revealed

Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. Chase joy.

Q. What 3 personal qualities are most important to you?

A. Intelligence, sense of humor and kindness. And if you're a man, there's no faster way to my heart than teasing me.

Q. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you choose to be?

A. Sitting in the sun on the deck of an Easter Island cafe, laughing with my family, gazing at the ocean, eating ceviche and drinking a cold beer.

Q. What’s your fantasy profession?

A. Remember the rich, famous romance novelist in the movie, American Dreamer, who spent all her time doing interviews and eating bon bons because her son was really doing all her writing for her? That's the one.

Q. What is your biggest pet peeve?

A. Writers who abandon their duty (David Chase, writer of The Sopranos last episode, I'm talking to you) or, worse, writers who shoot to fame via a particular series then hit the big time and don't want to accomodate the fans anymore. Annie Wilkes, I think you may have been on to something.

Ava is intent on baring his secrets in her next biography, and he's determined to stop... see more
