A. My initial idea came from a newspaper article about two friends who donated their hair to Locks of Love. But a story about a girl who grows her hair long, cuts it off, and grows it again would be a huge snore. Instead I considered the other side of the situation--someone who develops alopecia--and I went forward from there.
