JillEllyn Riley is a writer and editor, specializing in the creative development of series and memoirs. While editorial director at Miramax Books, she worked on some of the most successful and enduring children’s franchises of the last decade: Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan, Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer, and Bartemeaus by Jonathan Stroud. As the VP Editorial Director of Fourth Story Media, she developed The Amanda Project—the first transmedia collaborative fictional mystery series for teen girls. She has taken this experience and translated it into creating narrative worlds on the web, as well as helping kids tell their own parts of the story. She lives in a cramped apartment in Brooklyn, with too many people and one fish.
