Jo Whittemore is the author of Front Page Face-Off, Odd Girl In, and D is for Drama, all with Aladdin MIX. She currently lives in Texas and is an active member of the Texas Sweethearts, a group of Texas-based children’s book writers who make appearances at panels and conferences throughout the country.

Q. Which living person do you most admire?

A. My mom. If I had just 1/100th of her patience and wisdom...

Q. How would you describe perfect happiness?

A. Sleeping in, quality writing time, eating good food, seeing family and friends, traveling the world, laughing a LOT.

Q. What’s your fantasy profession?

A. Actress, mainly for the money. I'm not ashamed to admit it.

If you know anything about me, you know how much I love humor.
I love to laugh and I even prefer to see comedy movies on opening night so I can listen to the laughter around me.
Why?
Because laughing makes you feel GOOD. If you see someone smile, don't you automatically feel a little better? Well, imagine a smile x 1 billion and add a puppy and a chocolate bar. That's the euphoria you get from a good laugh.
And that's what I want to share with other people.
