Sitting before a roaring fire in an English country house hotel with a huge pot of tea and a gobsmackingly good book. Rock and roll.
Q. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you choose to be?
A. Aside from the perfect happiness scenario, I would be signing books and meeting readers. It really is a great privilege.
Q. What’s your greatest fear?
A. I have many. They are all great.

A. The sons and daughters of the morticians of Ancient Egypt who were considered outcasts and made to live separate from their communities.
