Laurence J. Kotlikoff is a professor of economics at Boston University, a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and president of Economic Security Planning, Inc., which produces the acclaimed ESPlanner personal financial-planning software. Professor Kotlikoff earned his Ph.D. in economics at Harvard. Before joining BU, he served on the faculties of UCLA and Yale and with the president's Council of Economic Advisers. He consults for governments, international organizations, and corporations and is the author or coauthor of twelve previous books.
