- A. Supergirl in search of relaxation, style, and gender equality
- Q. What is your motto or maxim?
- A. "It's not a play-to-play thing, it's a play-to-win thing."
- Q. How would you describe perfect happiness?
- A. For me, perfect happiness would be splitting my time between upstate New York, Florida, California, and Paris. I'd be writing full-time, reading in a lounge chair by the pool daily, shopping often, cooking daily, and surrounding myself with great friends and family.
- Q. What’s your greatest fear?
- A. Not to be cliche, but death.
- Q. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you choose to be?
- A. Boca Raton, Florida

- A. I quit taking piano/dance/oboe/Spanish lessons when I was younger, but I would love to have those skills now!

- A. I would love to not need to sleep.

- A. Recovering from my Supergirl self and learning how to find balance.

- A. I rely on others' affections too much.

- A. I'm very loving.
- Q. If you could be any person or thing, who or what would it be?
- A. I would like to be clairvoyant--but just for one week!

- A. I have very light, long blonde hair.

- A. I love Eloise, the children's book character.

- A. I was always really intrigued by Cruella DeVil. Let's be honest: she had beautiful coats.
- Q. If you could meet any historical character, who would it be and what would you say to him or her?
- A. I would have loved to meet Queen Elizabeth, the first "Elizabeth" queen of England. Allegedly she refused to ever get married because she didn't want to give up her ruling powers to a husband, which I think shows extraordinary feminist vision for that era.
- Q. What is your biggest pet peeve?
- A. Cell phones. I honestly wish they were never invented.
- Q. What is your favorite occupation, when you’re not writing?
- A. I love to look at art, go to museums, and paint.
- Q. What’s your fantasy profession?
- A. Outside of being an author, I would love to be a screenwriter or Hollywood movie director!

- A. Honesty, love, and consideration

- A. Don't be afraid to think outside the box!
- Q. What comment do you hear most often from your readers?
- A. How old are you?! You're not even old enough to drink!
- Q. How did you come to write Supergirls Speak Out?
- A. In high school, I was always thinking about the limiting roles for girls and the pressure to be perfect, so when I sat down to write a book proposal in January 2007, the pressure on girls to be perfect seemed like a really natural thing for me to write about.
