Lynn Cullen

Lynn Cullen grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana—the sixth child in a family of seven children, like her subject Mark Twain. Her recent novel, Mrs. Poe, examines the fall of Edgar Allan Poe through the eyes of his lover, poet Francis Osgood. A national bestseller, Mrs. Poe has been named a Target Book Club Pick, an NPR 2013 Great Read, an “Books That Make Time Stand Still,” an Editor’s Pick at The Historical Novels Review, an Atlanta magazine Best Books 2013 Pick, and an Indie Next Pick. Her other award-winning books include the novels The Creation of Eve, I Am Rembrandt’s Daughter, and Reign of Madness, as well as a picture book for children, Dear Mr. Washington. She lives in Atlanta surrounded by her own large family, and, like Mark Twain, enjoys being bossed around by cats.
