Lynne Berry isn't a feline fan, but concedes that the very things she doesn't like about cats make them fun to write about. "Cats make great saucy, spicy characters with such attitude. I live with one (my husband's), and it moves with utter serenity through the chaos of five dogs, completely indifferent to their existence. And it's mostly indifferent to the existence of the people in the house too." Lynne lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with her husband and assorted pets, including a cat (which she wishes no ill will, of course).
