On Books and Writing
- Q. How did you come to write Six Degrees of Paris Hilton?
- A. The book was born out of my Radar magazine story, "The Hustler, the Heiress and the Soft-Core Porn King." I contacted Darnell Riley (the criminal who shook down Girls Gone Wild goon Joe Francis with a gun and a video camera) in prison, and he told me, "I'm not going to pull an O.J. and say, 'If I did it.' I did it, and then some." Six Degrees of Paris Hilton is the "then some."
