Mark Robson

Mark Robson was born in Essex in 1966 and raised, for the most part, in Camarthen, West Wales. In 1982 he gained a scholarship to join the Royal Air Force as a pilot and has worked for them ever since. He successfully self-published the four book series, The Darkweaver Legacy, the first book of which was largely written during tours of duty in the Falkland Islands. He now lives in Northamptonshire with his family.

Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. Life is what you make of it.

Q. What’s your fantasy profession?

A. Astronaut.

Q. How would you describe perfect happiness?

A. Pressing the send button after dotting the final i and crossing the final t on a book. It is a wonderful feeling to write a book and know that it's your best work yet. Of course, to make it the perfect experience I would have to be sitting on a beach in the Seychelles sipping a cocktail in front of my multi-million pound villa with my yaght moored nearby and the Aston Martin sitting in the driveway next to the Ferrari!

Q. What trait is most noticeable about you?

A. Punctuality. I'm the sort of person who catches the train before the train before the train I meant to catch, because I hate being late.

Q. Who is your favorite fictional hero?

A. Paksenarrion from Elizabeth Moon's 'The Deed of Paksenarrion' trilogy.
