Revealing Questions

Q. How would you describe your life in only 8 words?

A. A flower blooming in the garden of Life.

Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. Stop looking. Start living.

Q. How would you describe perfect happiness?

A. Perfect happiness is Life functioning as its unrestricted, unqualified, natural state.  Happiness lies in totally digesting our experiences, not reacting to them.

Q. What’s your greatest fear?

A. My greatest fear is that people continue to exploit each other and construct dogmas which perpetuate violence and power struggles. This is what I hope my work can help overcome.

Q. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you choose to be?

A. My home in Taveuni, Fiji.

Q. With whom in history do you most identify?

A. So hard to say, we are each utterly unique, and yet so familiar with each other.

Q. Which living person do you most admire?

A. My partner.

Q. What are your most overused words or phrases?

A. "Life IS an abundant, nurturing force." But it is so true that it is hard to put it more perfectly.

Q. What do you regret most?

A. I see all things as having a purpose for happening, and even in my struggles (perhaps, especially in those), I've tried not to let regret take root in me. I have felt regret's restriction in allowing Life to function freely. So truly, and thankfully, I have no regrets. The only wish I do have is that I wish I could have more time and more energy to convey my message.

Q. If you could acquire any talent, what would it be?

A. Breathing under water...wouldn't that be amazing!

Q. What is your greatest achievement?

A. My greatest achievements are "The Promise" and the community of family and friends around the world that return my love for them.

Q. What’s your greatest flaw?

A. Being unwilling to say NO! when others request my time...that is very difficult for me.

Q. What’s your best quality?

A. I've been fortunate to study with real Teachers like Krishnamacharya and U.G. Krishnamurti. What I've learned from them, and hopefully what I can awaken and empower in others, is this inherent gift of their own Life which is absolutely perfect, just as it is right now, amidst all the pain and struggles of daily living. That is the best I can do.

Q. If you could be any person or thing, who or what would it be?

A. The President of the USA...so we could change the paradigms of power.

Q. What trait is most noticeable about you?

A. I have empathy for all beings. I love people, and I see their beauty even when they don't see it themselves.

Q. What is your favorite occupation, when you’re not writing?

A. Playing guitar or sitar, listening to music, being with family and friends...these inspire me.

Q. What’s your fantasy profession?

A. To be a guitarist and singer with Bob Dylan's band!

Q. What 3 personal qualities are most important to you?

A. Sincere questioning. Openness with acceptance that everything is as it should be. Personal responsibility.

Q. If you could eat only one thing for the rest of your days, what would it be?

A. Porridge or Eggs with potatoes...simple and nourishing.

Q. What are your 5 favorite songs?

A. "Imagine" & "Mother" by John Lennon, "A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall" & "Love Minus Zero" by Bob Dylan, "One" by U2, Anything by Vikash & Prabash the Indian sitar masters, "Saraswati Mata" by Daphne Tse (Can I have more than 5? It's too hard to choose!)
