Why not to start the year of 2011 to arrange your bathroom cabinet and really check out what skin care and makeup products you need and which ones should be in the garbage...any products that are older than 18 months you should throw away. This is a real feng shui for your bathroom cabinets! You have no idea how many old shampoo bottles, face creams, lipsticks and mascaras should be ready to be retired in the garbage can...
you will be surprised! This year you should really concentrate in simplifying your makeup and skin care products: what you REALLY need and what are the big questionmarks. My advice: keep it simple: this way you not only save money ( quite a bit actually), but you also save time ! You just need these products: SKIN CARE: face wash with mild exfoliation, toner, day cream, eye area cream. SKIP: separate exfoliation cream ( just buy a facewash with mild exfoliation), mask ( if your face is dry just add an extra layer of day cream on your face for 10 minutes and let it absorb )night cream ( get a 24h cream ).
MAKEUP: Primer ( especially combination - oily skin this is a must product to keep the makeup staying better ! ), tinted moisturizer+concealer+loose powder: these are your everyday base.
Get a very basic eyeshadow color collection with basic browns and earthy tones that go with everything! Choose colors that you can also use for your eyebrows if needed ( many brands also have eyeshadow-brow collections ! )but if you want more color, use an eye-pencil liner: blue, green turquise: it's fast & easy. Black mascara ( every 6 weeks...get a new mascara! ) Blush and lipstick/gloss. That's it.
