Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. I get discouraged easily, but I never give up.

Q. If you could eat only one thing for the rest of your days, what would it be?

A. Peanuts- the greasy kind with lots of chili and salt.

Q. If you could meet any historical character, who would it be and what would you say to him or her?

A. I would like to meet Rabbi Leon Modena, 17th century Venetian rabbi, whose autobiography I read, and ask him if there wasn't something- anything- that gave him pleasure in his life. Such a crotchety old boy!

Q. How would you describe perfect happiness?

A. Perfect happiness is having good health and a short memory.

Q. What are your most overused words or phrases?

A. These are words I am heartily sick of-empowered, journey, space, victim.
