On Books and Writing
Q. How did you come to write Please Pick Me Up, Mama!?
A. I was inspired to write Please Pick Me Up, Mama! by watching my own toddler grandchildren interact with their mamas. They wanted to be up in their mama's arms . . . then down, playing on their own. . . and then up again. It was perpetual, adorable motion.
