Author Revealed

Q. What is your biggest pet peeve?

A. There's this girl I know who, anytime there's a conversation that goes on for more than five minutes, she has her iPhone out and she's checking mail. Hello? Person here?

Q. Who is your favorite fictional hero?

A. Oh, man... Hamlet. Miles Vorkosigan. Any of Jane Austen's heroines.

Q. If you could eat only one thing for the rest of your days, what would it be?

A. Broccoli, steamed lightly, with a little lemon. Or Brussels sprouts, small ones, please, cooked only until they're bright green. Or Golden Globe tomatoes, raw. But I couldn't eat only one thing for the rest of my life. I would die of chocolate withdrawal.

Q. What’s your greatest fear?

A. Falling from a great height and going splat. Or giving parties. The latter usually turn out well. The former, probably not.
