He’s been awarded fellowships by The MacDowell Colony, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and the Community of Writers at Squaw Valley. His writing has appeared in various magazines and journals, including Gulf Coast Arts & Letters, Hobart, Instant City, and Hawaii Review. He lives near Washington, DC and is the Nonfiction Visiting Writer in the MFA program at George Mason University.
