A. Spiders of course! (but getting better)

A. In Mexico, eating ceviche and dancing salsa or in India, wrapped in a sari at a Devi temple

A. Maybe a cross between Florence Nightingale and Billy Holiday (actually I have no idea…I only know how to be me :))

A. Fabulous….also Definitely! And Exactly!

Q. What do you regret most?

A. I honestly don't have regrets. I'm too spiritually practical to focus that way as it wastes too much energy. I just open to whatever is next.

Q. If you could acquire any talent, what would it be?

A. Singing and playing an instrument. Or the ability to have total grace under fire, juggling a hundred things at once without breaking a sweat.

Q. What is your greatest achievement?

A. An obsessive desire to allow the Divine to take the Lead and also finding the humor in almost insane situations

Q. What’s your greatest flaw?

A. Impatience (yes, still…at times)

Q. What’s your best quality?

A. Improvisation in the Now and forgiving almost anyone (which by the way is different than forgetting)

Q. If you could be any person or thing, who or what would it be?

A. A Bengal Tiger in the wild. Or just myself. I think it's good to just be You.

A. Trixie Belden, girl detective

Q. If you could meet any historical character, who would it be and what would you say to him or her?

A. I would say to Virginia Woolf, " HOW did you write such fervent love letters like those to Vita Sackville-West and so patiently wait?"

Q. What is your biggest pet peeve?

A. People who SCREAM on their cell phones. Anywhere.

Q. What is your favorite occupation, when you’re not writing?

A. Teaching and also being on the radio. I love radio.

A. Generosity, honesty and wild sense of humor

Q. If you could eat only one thing for the rest of your days, what would it be?

A. Vietnamese pho (noodle soup) with hot sauce, lime, jalapeños, and basil

A. Right now it's the Indian and Sufi devotional poets like Rumi, Hafiz, and Mirabai.

A. It changes absolutely all the time depending on my mood, there could never be just five…perhaps there's more like 500.    But at the moment "Interior Castle" by Teresa of Avila, "The End of Your World" by Adyashanti, "The Devotional Poems" by Mirabai, "I am That" by Nisargadatta Maharaj,  "Wild" Cheryl Strayed

A. "The Game of Life and How to Play It" Florence Scovel Shinn

A. Offer all your writing to the Divine and ask it to do the typing
