Q. How would you describe your life in only 8 words?

A. Mom-activist, mistress of tea, entrepreneur, gypsy-spirit.

Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. With a mission to serve, you cannot fail.

Q. How would you describe perfect happiness?

A. Kisses from my kids, a hand-written love note from my husband, rain for my garden, a big cup of tea in my hand, a plane ticket to a new country in my purse, and my puppy at my feet.

Q. What’s your greatest fear?

A. I believe I have the same fears as everyone--loss of love and belonging, looking back at my life and wondering why I didn't express that big love when it wanted to be expressed.

Q. If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you choose to be?

A. I would be with my family high up in the mountains of Sri Lanka, with the people who have taught me about love, meditation, acts of selfless service and that we can live without fear.

Q. With whom in history do you most identify?

A. This is a great question, I would have to say my Gypsy grandmother Maria, she was a passioante woman who taught me that all problems can be solved by feeding and nurturing others.

Q. Which living person do you most admire?

A. Malala Yousafzai, my goodness, she is my all time hero.

Q. What are your most overused words or phrases?

A. Amazing! Rockstar! Seriously, Sage!? (my 13 year old son). Willow, DOWN! (my puppy). Babe, will you make me a cup of tea? (to my husband).

Q. What do you regret most?

A. That I didn't take my company to the $100M mark--I wish I knew then what I know now about business and the tricks of the trade.

Q. If you could acquire any talent, what would it be?

A. Oh to sing! WIth a last name like "Muzyka" which means music, it's like a cosmic joke that I don't have a musical bone in my body.

Q. What is your greatest achievement?

A. Getting my son health coverage and a life-saving operation when he was 6-weeks old. Without Sage, there would be no me.

Q. What’s your greatest flaw?

A. There are so many, but the one that bubbles to the top is my impulsiveness, mixed with my impatience, it makes for a tough ride at times.

Q. What’s your best quality?

A. Tenacity, or curiosity-- or to combine them would be Tenacuriosity. Definitely.

Q. If you could be any person or thing, who or what would it be?

A. I'd be the Hindu Goddess Lakshmi--she is all abundance, lotus flowers, and love...she is the bringer of wealth and prosperity to others, I want to do that all day long too!

Q. What trait is most noticeable about you?

A. My huge hair, or maybe my huge laugh--combined probably.

Q. Who is your favorite fictional hero?

A. Sheherezade

Q. Who is your favorite fictional villain?

A. The evil queen in Snow White

Q. If you could meet any historical character, who would it be and what would you say to him or her?

A. I'd want to sit at the feet of Buddha and listen to him give instructions for meditation. Or, I'd really love to ask Joan of Arc about her courage and strategic mind.

Q. What is your biggest pet peeve?

A. Mean people.

Q. What is your favorite occupation, when you’re not writing?

A. Formulating potions.

Q. What’s your fantasy profession?

A. Photo-journalist, fashion designer, professional dancer.

Q. What 3 personal qualities are most important to you?

A. Authenticity, compassion, passion.

Q. If you could eat only one thing for the rest of your days, what would it be?

A. Bread!
