My Life in 8 Words
Q. What is your motto or maxim?
A. My motto changes daily as I try to meditate on something new every day.
Q. If you could meet any historical character, who would it be and what would you say to him or her?
A. Again, I have to go with Orson Welles. Mainly, I'd ask him to help me separate fact from fiction in regards to the stories about his life. Sadly, I feel Orson would delight in not only keeping the truth to himself but in adding to the myths and confusing me even more.
Q. What do you regret most?
A. Not going abroad until I was in my 30s.
Q. What are your most overused words or phrases?
A. When I write, I end up editing out about 7,000 instances of "just" throughout.
Q. Which living person do you most admire?
A. Corny as it sounds, I most admire my husband for his kindness, generosity, and ability to empathize.
