A. Show up.

Q. How would you describe perfect happiness?

A. Watching a good dog work scent on a crisp fall day in North Carolina, with no humidity, no fences, no mosquitoes or ticks, nowhere to be except in the field, and no expectation of perfection.

A. Not having a passel of children to teach my bad habits to.

A. A small river
