Q. If you could meet any historical character, who would it be and what would you say to him or her?

A. If I could meet any character, it would Okonkwo in Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart. I was struck by the torture this man put himself through in attempt to make himself look a certain way (manly) to his family and community. I would say to him, "You can't live your life in fear of what people will think of you. Sometimes you have to do what is in your heart."

Q. Who is your favorite fictional villain?

A. I don’t have one.

Q. With whom in history do you most identify?

A. If I had to choose someone, it would probably be Michael Jackson. I related to his perfectionism and workaholic tendencies.
