Jimmy Gownley

Jimmy Gownley began writing and drawing comics at the age of fifteen. He is an advocate for kids’ comics, having co-founded the organization Kids Love Comics, which works to promote comic books and graphic novels as a valuable tool for literacy and education in schools, libraries, and at home. He lives with his wife Karen and their twin daughters, Stella and Anna, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

A. My motto is, "Never trust a person who has a motto."

Q. What is your favorite occupation, when you’re not writing?

A. drawing, which is why I make graphic novels!

A. I try not to regret anything. All my choices led me here, and that's not a bad place to be

Q. How would you describe perfect happiness?

A. Knowing that all your work is done. You did the best you could, and all that's left to do is to spend time with the ones you love.
