Author Revealed

Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. Let's have as much fun as possible.

Q. What were your previous occupations?

A. Babysitter, donut bakery worker, bagel bakery worker (I come from a land of round baked goods), boring part-time office job where I worked with some guy named Barack Obama, camp counselor, women's clinic worker, waitress, college TA, college professor, federal education grant director, education and education philanthropy expert, strategic communications consultant

Q. What is your birthdate?

A. 11/15

Q. What was/is your favorite job?

A. Why would I say anything but novelist? Of course, I do love to teach, so "novelist who does programs about the history behind her books" is REALLY my favorite part.

Q. Where did you go to high school and/or college?

A. I went to a large public high school on Long Island, NY, and then to Harvard. Quite a culture shock transitioning from one to the other. I also have graduate degrees from University of Southern California (Go Trojans!) and UCLA (Go Bruins!)
