BRUCE will hit its official on-sale date on October 30, which means you can snap up, say, 100 copies and drop them into the kiddies' Halloween bags. A generous gift, but if you do it you'll be a hero, and all your neighbors won't ever stop talking about it. I swear.

Oh lord, this Simon & Schuster blog tool -- so cruel, so whimsical, a techno-fascist of the highest regard -- just deleted this big blog entry I wrote. It's a long and gruesome story, and of course I had a hand in the cock-up myself, which only makes it worse, so argh.

Hey everyone. Thanks for checking out my page here in the middle of the Simon & Schuster galaxy. What fun to be here. I hope you feel the same way.
