Author Revealed

Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. Do the next thing.

Q. What trait is most noticeable about you?

A. I suspect I come off as more assertive than I realize, so maybe that. I've been told I exude self-confidence, and this always shocks me to hear.

Q. What’s your greatest flaw?

A. It takes a huge amount of effort for me to remember to light a single candle rather than curse the darkness.

Q. Who is your favorite fictional hero?

A. I always return to Elizabeth Bennet in Pride and Prejudice.

Q. What do you regret most?

A. Not changing piano studios my freshman year at Oberlin Conservatory. It would have been a gutsy thing to do, and I would have been happier.
